CEMENT TRANSFER SYSTEM

May 13, 2014

Cement transfer systems allow the producer to reduce hauling costs, while increasing the flexibility of onsite storage. Transfer systems include a blower and depending on the application a feeder. Blower packages typically range from 40hp to 60hp and are determined by the rise and run of the cement fill pipe to the storage silo. Stand-a-lone blowers can be used to pressurize a Bulk Truck eliminating the need for a truck to carry its on blower. Feeders are devices that transfer cement from a static storage vessel into a stream of air. Vane Feeders are a common feeder and transfer 25 to 45 tons per hour of cement. Bi-pass valves allow the fine tuning of the air flow to maximize cement transfer. Cement transfer systems can also be used to transfer flyash, slag, lime and other cementious materials.
